Barcelona tenía todas las oportunidades para poder retomar la punta este domingo en el Monumental, pero finalmente no se dio.
Luego de un primer tiempo aburrido y sin muchas opciones de gol, los  ambateños en un gran segundo tiempo dieron la sorpresa y se llevaron los 3 puntos.
Pérez estaba pasado de revoluciones y al 55’ sería expulsado al ver su segunda amarilla por otro salvaje planchazo sobre Feraud, que ya no pudo seguir en la cancha tras esta segunda agresión.
Luego de eso Macará terminaría haciendo justicia en el Monumental, primero golpeando con un gol de cabeza de Alejandro Manchot al 47’ y luego con la obra de arte de Michael Estrada al 82’, que desde fuera del área la puso en el ángulo con una caricia de su botín derecho para asegurar el triunfo por 2 a 1, ya que al 90’+6, Fidel Martínez descontaría de penal para BSC.
